Christmas Tree Farm

An Advent tradition on abbey land

The bond between St. Paul’s Abbey and Christmas trees goes back to the founding of the monastery, when the German brothers planted their first evergreen seedlings. Since 2009 the brothers have tended the farm using organic methods.

The fields hold many varieties — Colorado Spruce, Douglas Fir, Concolor Fir, Canaan Fir, White Pine, Norway Spruce, Korean Fir, and Nikko Fir. The season runs from the day after Thanksgiving through December 23, with Korean and American volunteers — especially the Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph Parish in Newton — lending a hand each weekend.

Volunteers are always welcome. For this year’s hours, prices, and to help out, please contact us at farm@newtonosb.org.

문의: farm@newtonosb.org
