Hello,
I work at the archdiocese of Newark and last year we got a 12 foot tree. I am looking for that size for my home. Is there any trees larger than 10 feet ? Lisa
Hi. I noticed it stated that cars are not allowed to leave the parking lot. Is that new this year? My family and I have been coming to St. Paul’s Abby since 2011, and always drove throughout the tree farm to get our tree. We come the day after Thanksgiving.
This will be our first time coming. We would like to know if you have people that will cut a tree for us when chosen, als o do you drill the hole in the trunk for the tree stand. Thank you and am looking forward to coming. We live about 11/2 – 2hrs away.
During weekday it will be able to help you. You can ask one of our staff to cut and bring to the cashier. During weekends, it depends on the availabilty of our staff. You can try to ask. We have drill also.
Is there a way to get the tree to the cashier after they are cut? We aren’t exactly young whippersnappers.. 🙂 Also do you cut and sell trees to or only self cut? Would you cut it for us? Sorry for all the questions,Have a blessed day..
You can ask one of our staffs. they will help you.
I think it will be available already cut trees after Dec. 15th.
During weekday you can ask one of our staffs to cut tree for you but you should choose first before asking us.
Hi Brothers, I was thinking about the Abbey that my husband and two sons would visit to get our Christmas tree each year. It’s been a long time and I was curious to see if it was still around. So I Googled it. We came There in the 70’s. About 1973, 74, 75. We live in Florida now since 1980 and we never forgot how much fun it was to choose our tree with the boys who were toddlers at that time. There was a Brother who helped us each year. I cannot remember his name now. But he was so kind. I believe the trees were all $ 20 maybe not even. But one year brother gave it to us for $5. It barely was a donation. It was such a gift because my husband was a Greyhound driver and we didn’t have much. We lived in Hopatcong Heights. The next year we went back again. I was so excited to see him but he wasn’t around this time. Finally I asked if he was there, maybe inside the Abbey. But they said Brother was no “ longer with us”. I was crushed. I had been working on specialty Christmas cookies for him to share with the other Brothers. It was our thank you for the special priced Christmas tree 🎄 the year before. I know he wasn’t a young man and now we aren’t young anymore. We are in our 70’s but those were our fondest memories finding St. Paul’s Abbey and picking our tree. Thank you for all you do, for the memories you gave us and so many families. During this difficult time with Covid I pray that the Brothers are all well. I wish I could win the lottery, I would help restore the Abbey and keep it going. We need this and all the prayers for our country and the whole world. God bless you all and keep you safe and well. Have a most Blessed Christmas as we celebrate our Baby Jesus coming. Our Savior, Jesus, have mercy on us. 🙏🏻+
