I was very saddened to hear of Br. Luke’s passing. He was a wonderful caring human being and deeply loved the monastic life. I was a postulant at St. Pauls Abbey (Bro.Thomas) in 1964 thru 1965. I worked in the summer of 1964 at Camp St. Benedict as Fr. Timothy Joyce’s office assistant. I loved every minute of both my experience at St. Pauls Abbey and Camp St. Benedict. How I long for and miss those idyllic days of my youth. I spoke with Br. Luke many times and had the utmost respect for him. May he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord:)
